hello!
yes, its me again!
your fav. blogger?
haha, ok la. i not so zi lian lor.
went for the RGS E.lit seminar.
the sch is so diff to find can,
my mum, me and Nicole went spinning round and round orchad that area.
we finally found it, and we were the 2nd to arrive.. (from our sch la)
oh yes, may i point out tha Mr. Ong was LATE.
haha..
i think he got lost..
shhhhh...
when he finally came, me and Nicole could not help but notice that he was wearing a rather....
uncle-looking shirt.
hehehe.
shhhhhhh...
the talk was ok..
i fidgetted through the talk..
gets quite boring somehow..
then came the workshop..
me and nicole were supposed to be under film appreaciation,
but mr. ong transferred us to the poem.
he wanted to join oso,
but there was no more space.
so..
yea.
i think it was better that way.
i will get SUPER stressed.
cos i cant write a poem to save my life.
:D
we were given a theme,
"Appearences and Reality" to write a poem on.
interesting theme.
but,
i had no inkling as to how to go about writing it.
when i look at the theme,
i thought of people,
and how they may appear to be something,
but when u really get to know them better,
u will normally realise that they are far from it.
i thought of school life.
most people think that kids (we ARE essentially still kids, so sad right?) are rather innocent,
but i think that its a common misunderstanding.
i think that while the coporate world has much facades and hypocrisy,
school life is no different.
adults in the coporate world would do anything to climb the coporate ladder,
likewise,
students would do the same,
just to do better than their friends.
like,
you play and sleep in class,
or tell your friends that you dun study for tests,
but, in actual fact, you actually stay up burning midnight oil studying.
have u thought that the lazy front you potray in public is actually a facade of yours?
ok,
even if you dont,
i think that everyone has to wear a mask in some point of life,
how many would dare say that they are the same person at home and in public?
not many, i believe.
but the funny thing is,
some much stuff is going through my head,
but i somehow just cant pen my thoughts down into a poem.
pathetic right?
so i jus spent 15mins there stoning and breathing in air-conditioned air.
(did i mention that RGS's classrooms are AIR-CONDITIONED? >.<)
the 2nd practice was better.
he gave us a poem,
then ask us to use that poem as a scaffold (or basis) for another original poem.
we just had to compose lines between each line of a stanza.
i think it helped.
it was much easier to do,
cos at least i have something that i can draw inspiration from.
it waaayyy better than jus giving me a theme.
but!
i still think i'm not a poetic person.
cos i had a hard time coming up with the lines.
and im not satisfied too.
:(
muz seek help from Nicole le.
i think my aunt and my mum xin you ling xin la.
they both bought a watch for me for my bday.
somemore, both watches are the ones i like.
zhi wo zhe, fei ta men ye!
:D

he grumbled while paying money.
hahaha.
so mean of me.
but he still paid la,
so sweet of him.
:)

dunno what to do with it..
